Problems with URLs containing translated arabic letters

Closed

Hey there, I've been using your actor for some time and it's working well.

Now, i added 3 new links and only 1 of these will be fetched. The links contain some "Standard High Arabic" letters and it seems the actor has problems although in the link the letters are translated into latin/ASCI? code.

Can you please check, thanks!

I didn't understand your problem, some profile (/in or /company) in your input contains Arabic text, this is what is being extracted

When i open the links myself in my browser, i see Standard High Arabic and not latin/ASCI content , do you see the opposite when opening on your browser ?

The URLs look like this when you copy them (before you copy it, you see the arabic font in the URL window.

  1. https://www.linkedin.com/company/%D8%AD%D8%B2%D8%A8-%D9%85%D8%B3%D8%AA%D9%82%D8%A8%D9%84-%D9%88%D8%B7%D9%86-nation-s-future-party This is working.

  2. https://www.linkedin.com/in/rpp-%D8%AD%D8%B2%D8%A8-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B4%D8%B9%D8%A8-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%85%D9%87%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A- There is a result, which will be shown under "persons" and not fetched.

  3. https://www.linkedin.com/company/%D8%AD%D8%B2%D8%A8-%D8%AD%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B7%D9%86 This won't be fetched at all, although the link is working.

Can you please re-check. Thanks.

Hey there, Last night it worked, today it again didn't work. Only after again resetting the Cookies. (https://console.apify.com/actors/tasks/aJEzM9nH6A0dKzBLu/runs/2KjW58Ygh4HjiRrSY#output) Can you please inform me, if you can provide a stable solution. I can't use an actor where i need to do manually adjusting the cookies every day.

Thanks!

I guess using session cookie on apify and then going back on your browser and using linkedin , would make linkedin reset your cookies since it's not the same location

It's not 100% automated since linkedin is against it but it still saves you time and gives you information you don't find when opening the url on your browser

We are working on an actor that takes user password as input and returns cookie session

I understand. But, i don't think this is the reason because i usually do work with LI every day and during the last 2 weeks i didn't need to reset any session. Unfortunately, I can't use the actor if it's not stable. Please recharge my money, i'll cancel it. Let me know as soon as you have a stable solution.

i'm only trying to guess, since as i said, linkedin does not provide a public documented API. 100% stable only works with public documented API.

We provide tools that will reduce your time spent on parsing data by hand when viewing profile pages. Copy paste cookie session takes at most 20s to do and will save you tons of time parsing profile data that you would normally do manually

But again, i understand your desire to get 100% stable. Regarding subscription on the Apify store, we don't have any power
