Some comments are hidden; you need to open them so that you can see them. Can you tool access those 'hidden' comments?

Hi!

Please provide example of some post by direct URL, never seen such hidden comments, so not sure how actor deals with it.

Not scraping posts. Scrapping comments under posts IN a fb group

alexey avatar

For getting public comments please use different actor: https://apify.com/apify/facebook-comments-scraper - there is limit applied per post but you will get max amount available without Facebook login (actor can not use login in any form because of legal reasons)

I´m going to close the issue now, but if there would be anything else we could help with, please let us know.

But I don’t have the links to the posts. I just have a group.

Also, the vast majority of comments are useless to me. Any way to return only those that contains of email?

Hi!

Then you should scrape group posts, then scraper comments per post URLs by another run. Manually or by Actor2Actor integration.

Group posts include few optional "top posts" as composed by Facebook itself. Getting comments per post limited by scrolling allowed by Facebook without Facebook login. So need to get all available comments, then search for emails by some external tool, i.e. by exporting to Google docs and then doing search there.

No other business logic implemented at the moment because there was no demand for it.

Ok. If I’m looking for only a certain type of comments, comments that contain email addresses. Any way to implement it in the search so that I don’t get a lot of data I don’t need? Many thanks

The only way to get all available comments, then export them somewhere (Google Sheets etc) and then filter out unwanted comments by your condition. Actor itself do not provide such functionality.
