I have experienced this in build 0.98

I set posts to newer than 2024-10-14; set a limit of 3000 posts; and increased the timeout to 36,000 seconds.

The run returned 122 results in 9 m 33 s and the last post retrieved was on the 2024-10-25.

I manually checked the group and there are many posts between 10-14 and 10-25 that were missed.

I have experienced similar things on other long runs.

Hi!

Thanks a lot for feedback. I checked group and looks like due privacy settings missing posts available only to group members. See screenshot attached, compared to your reported run https://console.apify.com/view/runs/IEhFzwX7VO51DJghS in dataset https://api.apify.com/v2/datasets/R3hdZXTApJnlQ7JYV/items?clean=true&fields=url,time,text&format=json last two items from 25 of October and next in the group posts feed https://www.facebook.com/groups/1032941127080233/posts/2208912159483118/ which is out of specified date range.

I´m going to close the issue now, but if there would be anything else we could help with, please let us know.

Hi Alexy,

Thanks for looking into this so quickly. I just checked myself because I was sure that I saw posts between those dates and I found the attached (sorry about the small text, I had to zoom out to fit both posts). It seems that the post on the 10th is randomly in between two posts on the 25th...

Could the scraper perhaps be updated to have to find two consecutive posts on the same date before declaring that it has reached the "posts newer than date" ?

Hi!

Thanks for pointing out, its really incorrect logic from Facebook itself, post from October 10 appears in the middle of feed with posts from October 26.

Will fix but can not give exact estimate at the moment, working on urgent hotfix for Instagram.

Will keep you informed about the progress.
