Would it be possible to add a property for a posts "short code"?
Closed
For my use case, it would be useful to have a property whose value represents a post's short code, as in, for a post URL like https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNddMbCfT/
, the short code would be ZNddMbCfT

Hello,
You can use customMapFunction
in order to add any properties you want to the objects. Please refer to the documentation to learn how to use it.

I'm sorry, I don't think I've explained my use case properly. When submitting a URL such as https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNddMbCfT/
, a mobile format URL, the response does not contain any value that I can use to map to the respective short code (ZNddMbCfT
) using the customMapFunction
property.
For some reason, the response's postPage
returns the desktop-version of the URL instead of the submitted URL (in this case, a mobile-version one). If this postPage
always returned the exact URL that was used for the input, I'd be able to extract the short code, but not like this. Alternatively, having said shortCode
property of its own would work just as well.

Hello,
We've added a new field called inputUrl
to the output where you can extract this information. Can you please check and let me know if that works for you?
Cheers

Hello,
Closing this issue due to inactivity. Please let us know if the new field is not working for your case.
