Thank you very much for letting us know about your problem. We are pushing the Instagram actors back to maintenance mode. Some problems in our actors do not allow us to retrieve the data properly. We do not have a clear roadmap or estimation at the current moment but I will let you know and keep you posted once all the fog goes.

I purchased a $49/month membership subscription last night after submitting my issue and I am using the actor constantly now. I appreciate your reply but had no idea that my issue would cause you to put this actor in maintenance mode; I am using the actor daily, almost all day, starting last night when I purchased a $49/month membership subscription after submitting my issue. This actor is critical to my workflow, irreplaceable. I hope you can increase the speed back to its old speed which was very very VERY fast. After buying a $49/month membership subscription last night, I am now able to crawl 1,000 users in 10 minutes; I think using the free "demo mode" of the actor was contributing to the lack of crawl speed. The old speed with build 0.0.11, when using a free Apify membership, allowed me to crawl 10,000 users in 10 minutes to 15 minutes. That was the blazing speed this actor does not have now! Build 0.0.11 is the build that gave me that FAST speed. Hopefully you can bring that speed back.

Also, if there is a way that you could add an option in the actor to only crawl for select Instagram fields, I think that would increase the crawl speed dramatically. Less data to crawl for sounds like it would logically increase the crawl speed. Thank you for the reply and keep up the phenomenal work, I love this actor! I will pay for using this actor with a $49/month Apify membership and use this actor for a LOOOOOONG time! I will keep paying as long as the speed stays fast. Please INCREASE THE SPEED! Thank you very much for the kind words. All the data that we are pulling are getting retrieved in a single go. The actor is still working but not perfectly stable and not fast at the current moment. We will revisit all the logic and replace the broken parts rapidly. Unfortunately, we have no estimation at the current moment since we are still researching what the problem is. But I will let you know once we have a clear roadmap!

EMERGENCY: This actor completely stopped working suddenly today, won't return any data on any run. I've tested more than once to confirm. I've given up hope. Guess I will have to wait until you finish maintenance. I'm completely crippled now, paralyzed now until you finish maintenance. I've shutdown shop immediately, your actor is critical to my operation. Without it, I can't do anything. Please let me know as soon as you have completed maintenance so I can begin using the paid version of this great actor again with my current $49/month Apify membership. Thank you!

Very sorry to hear that. Yes, that is correct. The actor stopped working completely and that's why we moved all to the Under Maintenance Mode. As mentioned, we do not have a clear roadmap at the current moment but all of our Engineers are actively working on the issue.

Any update? How long on average did your last maintenances for this actor take? Just trying to get an idea of how long this will take so I won't keep asking; not having any idea of how long I could be waiting (days, weeks, months, years????) is driving me crazy.

Thank you very much for pinging. On average the maintenance of the actor takes hours. In some cases like this, we rewrite the actors to keep the functionality remaining - if we know how to retrieve the data. In the situation of Instagram actors (all 3 of them), we do not have any idea of how to retrieve the data. Instagram has blocked the data sources from which we were retrieving the data, and we are trying to find other ways. Therefore, we do not have any estimations or forecasts of how much time it will take.

Meaning that the length of rewriting this is very unknown. I strongly suggest you and other users start migrating to other IG actors (like: https://apify.com/apify/instagram-profile-scraper) to keep your systems alive. Once we are up, we will inform all of our users regarding the fix.

LAST QUESTION: Are you able to to let me use the version of the actor that I was using 7 days ago when I submitted this issue? That version of the actor may not have been as fast as I wanted it to be but it was fully functioning; it was able to scrape emails and phone numbers from Instagram. I feel like I caused all of this by submitting this issue; if I had not contacted you, i could of kept using that version of the actor even though it was slower. The actor was working, it just was not as fast. So are you able to to let me use the version of the actor that I was using 7 days ago when I submitted this issue? If you cannot do that, I have to cancel my Apify membership immediately and ask for a refund from Apify; which they probably will not give me but I have to try. I only purchased this Stater Membership so i could use this Instagram actor of yours because it is the only actor here on Apify that can scrape Instagram for emails and phone numbers, no other actor can do that unfortunately.

The versions do not have any difference between each other regarding this problem. The broken logic is the same. When you reached out to us, we were aware that there was a problem that was happening at that very moment. The moment we stopped the actors and moved them to Under Maintenance mode was the death of the logic completely. So the problem was not initiated by you, we were already aware of the problem at that time.

There is a possibility that we can bring the User functionality, partially working in a couple of days. Let's wait until Monday and see if the Engineers can sort this out. Would it be okay on your end?

You know good customer service is dead in the 21st century, you're a much needed and appreciated unicorn. But yes, whatever you can do I will be grateful for.
